What Is Chicken Pox?
Chicken pox is a well-known childhood virus that is caused by a virus known as varicella zoster virus (VZV). Nowadays, it does not only affect children but adults as well. It is a very contagious condition and as a child, it is a perfect idea for you to get vaccinated in order to keep the disease at bay. Even though it is considered to be mild, to some people it can be serious leading to other bodily complications such as rashes and blisters which later on turn to permanent scars. Since chicken pox is highly contagious, it is advisable for the affected person to be isolated immediately until the symptoms diminish completely. The most affected persons include young children and babies as well.
